Future Shop to close store in New Glasgow

NEW GLASGOW, N.S. – Future Shop is closing its store in New Glasgow, N.S.
The company says Friday will be the last day of operations.
Spokesman Elliott Chun says the decision follows an evaluation of the company’s real estate holdings in the province.
Chun didn’t know how many workers are affected by the closure.
He says regular full-time and part-time employees will be paid severance in accordance with provincial legislation.
The company will also offer an employee assistance program.
