Halifax bakery to close, affecting 100 employees

The Canada Bread Company has announced it will close its bakery in Halifax, affecting more than 100 employees.
The company says the products made there can be produced at its other facilities in Atlantic Canada.
It says affected employees will receieve severance packages and personal counseling.
The 50,000-square foot facility mostly produces sliced breads and English muffins under the Ben’s, Dempster’s and Vilaggio brands, according to a statement from the company.
