Two HRSB schools remain closed today

Two schools in the Halifax Regional School Board remain closed today.
Humber Park Elementary and Colonel John Stuart Elementary remain closed because both buildings have excessive snow on their roofs.
It’s back to school for all other HRSB students.
Meanwhile, Halifax Transit’s buses and ferries remain free as on-street parking restrictions continue.
HRM says police and parking enforcement are using some discretion when ticketing and towing, they’re targeting parked vehicles that block roads or get in the way of snow removal.
Drivers are warned to expect a slower than normal commute and to watch out for pedestrians who can’t be seen behind snowbanks.
