OTTAWA – Two of the three main party leaders will be in Atlantic Canada today.
Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau is making an announcement at Halifax Stanfield International Airport at 10:15 a.m., before heading to the Canadian Museum of Immigration at Pier 21 at noon.
He then goes to an evening rally in the same Newfoundland riding that the NDP’s Tom Mulcair will be campaigning in.
Mulcair attends an afternoon rally in the hotly contested riding of St. John’s South-Mount Pearl, which has flipped from Conservative to Liberal to NDP control through the last three federal elections.
Conservative Leader Stephen Harper campaigns in southwestern Ontario today.
The two ridings Harper will visit — Windsor-Tecumseh and Windsor West — have been held by the NDP for more than a decade.
Green Leader Elizabeth May will greet voters at a ferry terminal and a fair in Salt Spring Island, B-C.
Bloc Leader Gilles Duceppe holds a news conference followed by a speech in Sorel-Tracy, Quebec, and then has photo-ops in Saint-Eustache and Montreal.
