HALIFAX — Halifax Regional Police have released impaired driving statistics for August.
Last month, police charged 60 people, ranging in age from 19 to 65, with impaired driving offences.
Of those incidents, 31 were identified by police at traffic stops and checkpoints, while 15 were identified after a collision had occurred.
The public also played a role in nabbing suspected drunk drivers — as 27 recorded incidents were called-in by concerned citizens.
