Gas prices slightly down in Nova Scotia

HALIFAX – The price of gas has once again dropped below the dollar-per-litre mark in Nova Scotia.

Drivers are waking up Friday to a new minimum price of $0.98/L after the Utility and Review Board used its weekly adjustment to drop prices 2.5 cents.

There was a smaller drop in the price of diesel; fuel prices fell by 1.9 cents moving the minimum price to $1/L.

At this time in 2014, Nova Scotians were paying $1.22/L for gas, $1.24/L for diesel and oil was trading on the markets at $82.68 US per barrel.

That’s just over $35 more than Thursday’s closing price of $46.99 US.
