Slightly lower gas prices expected Friday

HALIFAX – The downward trend in the price of gasoline in Nova Scotia will continue this week.
NEWS 95.7 has crunched the numbers and predict when the regulated price for regular self-serve is reset at midnight, it will fall by roughly two cents per litre.
George Murphy of Consumers for Fair Gas Prices tells NEWS 95.7 prices are being kept by low by a ‘glut’ of oil on the markets.
“Of course the last two weeks we’ve seen substantial building in US crude oil inventories,” Murphy said. “It’s listed a 8 million barrels, we’ve got all this oil everywhere and it’s weighing oil prices down.”
In New Brunswick, prices fell by 3.6 overnight Thursday, moving the maximum price per litre down to 98.6 cents per litre.
