HALIFAX – Regional police are seeking two suspects who mugged a man walking in Dartmouth on Wednesday night.
A 56-year-old man was walking on Maple Street near Tulip Street around 9 p.m., when two men approached him from behind carrying knives and demanded money.
Police said the victim was punched in the face and fell to the ground but a vehicle that had stopped caused the two men to flee. There were no serious injuries.
Police said the first suspect is described as a white man in his 20s, 5 ft. 6 in. tall, with a stocky build and black hair. He was wearing a black jacket and a ball cap.
The second suspect is described as a white man in his 20s, between 6 ft. 2 in. and 6 ft. 3 in. tall, with a slim build, black hair and a brown goatee. He was wearing a green and black lumberjack-style jacket and a black toque at the time of the assault.
