Two Nova Scotia men facing child pornography charges

DARTMOUTH, N.S. – Two Nova Scotia men face child pornography charges after separate investigations by the RCMP Provincial Internet Child Exploitation Unit.

On January 12, Police used a search warrant to enter a home in Port Hawkesbury, arresting 51-year-old Martin Ryan, who is charged with possession of child pornography.

Ryan was released on conditions and is scheduled to appear in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court, April 25.

RCMP laid another charge on January 18 in a separate case with the help of Amherst Police, arresting a 64-year-old man at his home. Roger Lirette is charged with possession of child pornography and was also released on conditions.

Lirette is due in Amherst Provincial Court, May 16.

No other details were released.
