RCMP in Nova Scotia are warning residents of the release of a high risk offender.
Jamie Alan Goreham’s criminal convictions dating back to 1991 include sexual assault and sexual interference, his victims include girls under the age of 14.
Goreham, who will be released from the Calgary Correction Centre on Saturday, has been assessed as being a high risk to reoffend.
“Our understanding is he has identified Barrington as one of the possible locations he’s intending to take up residence,” explained Cst. Mark Skinner.
The 42-year-old is required to follow strict conditions during his two year probation, including not having contact with children under the age of 16, and not consuming or possessing alcohol.
RCMP is releasing this information in accordance with the Nova Scotia Release of High Risk Offender Information Protocol so the public can take precautionary measures, but warn vigilante activity will not be tolerated.
