LOWER SACKVILLE, N.S. – Halifax District RCMP are investigating after a break enter and assault that occurred Thursday evening in Lower Sackville.

Police responded around 8:30 p.m. Thursday to the Cobequid Community Heath Centre after a report of a victim suffering from stab wounds.

Investigators say two suspects entered an apartment on the 600 block of Sackville Drive and assaulted two men inside with a tire iron and a knife.

Both men who were attacked sustained non-life threatening injuries and were able to leave the apartment to get medical attention.

RCMP say the investigation is ongoing and don’t believe it was a random incident.

Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact Halifax District RCMP at: (902) 244-7208, or Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers at: 1-800-222-TIPS.
