Emma’s Eatery in Eastern Passage closes its doors

EASTERN PASSAGE – A popular spot to grab a bite to eat in Eastern Passage has closed its doors.

Emma’s Eatery on Cow Bay Road made the announcement on social media, calling the decision a very difficult one.

Chef Kim Stacey, owner of the business, cited a number of reasons for the closure in her post, including “inadequate and suffocating government bureaucracy,” and the exorbitant cost of serving locally-sourced food with no incentive.

She also cited, “the frustrating new generation of work force who believe they are entitled to be paid dearly to customize their own schedules and around their social activities and hobbies and cell phone use at the expense of the business,” Stacy wrote.

She also criticized the work force, “at ALL ages cant work because they are too “stressed out” or cant handle constructive criticism so they quit instead of learning work ethic.”

Stacey thanked customers and staff for their support.
