Two teens in custody after robbery at knifepoint

DARTMOUTH – Regional Police have two teenagers in custody after a pair of women were robbed at knife point on Sunday night near downtown Dartmouth.
Police said just before 9 p.m. Sunday two women in their early 20’s were walking on a path behind Parker Street in Dartmouth when two male teens approached them and asked for a cigarette.
When one of the women took out a cigarette, one of the males pulled a knife and demanded the pack of cigarettes and the backpacks the two victims were carrying at the time.
The two suspects fled the area while the women called police, who eventually took a 15-year-old and 16-year-old into custody a short distance away.
Both suspects are scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
