Macdonald Bridge closed until further notice

The Macdonald Bridge is closed until further notice, Halifax Harbour Bridges is now saying the opening time is ‘to be determined’.
Spokesperson Alison MacDonald told NEWS 95.7 early this morning workers are replacing a piece of steel under the road deck.
Halifax Transit has several routes on detour and says they have additional bus shuttles running, they have also extended 15 minute runs on the Alderney Ferry route to 10 a.m.
Halifax Harbour Bridges CEO Steve Snider will join Rick Howe at 9 a.m.
