HALIFAX – Regional Police are hoping the public can assist in locating a missing Halifax woman who disappeared earlier this week.
It follows a medical call to an apartment building on the 200 block of Willett Street Tuesday afternoon which police say came just after 3:00 p.m.
Police arrived and searched the building and the surrounding area but could not find 66-year-old Diana Covell, who police say was a resident at the unit.
Diana’s family confirmed they last spoke with her on Monday.
Police are also looking for Covell’s car, a blue, 4-door, 2013 Chevrolet Cruz, with a Nova Scotia license plate number FND-512, which police add wasn’t at the apartment at the time they searched the area and hasn’t been seen there since.
While police believe there’s no information to suggest Covell has met with any foul play, there is concern for her well-being.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Halifax Regional Police at: (902) 490-5020, or Nova Scotia Crime Stoppers at: 1-800-222-TIPS.
