Police canvassing Dartmouth for information in Joseph Cameron homicide

HALIFAX – Regional Police will be highly visible in a couple of Dartmouth neighbourhoods on Friday as they try to get information in the homicide of Joseph Cameron.
Cameron, 20, was found shot and killed on a sidewalk on Mount Edward Road in Dartmouth early March 29, and police have not publicly named a suspect in his murder.
Cst. Dianne Woodworth with Regional Police said investigators will be in a few nearby neighbourhoods on Friday handing out and posting flyers, encouraging anyone information in Cameron’s murder to stop by and have a chat.
“They’re going to have a command bus over there, they’re going to be giving out flyers and there just looking to see if anyone is willing to speak with us,” Woodworth said.
“Even if you don’t think it’s significant information, it could be, so we would appreciate you coming up to speak with us.”
Officers will be in the areas of Kennedy Drive and Roleika Drive from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., and will also be around Spring Avenue and Mount Edward Road between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m.
