Small fire at Halifax Shopping Centre causes significant damage to jewellery store

HALIFAX – Halifax Fire says the cause of a small fire at the Halifax Shopping Centre Tuesday night remains under investigation.
Crews were called to the Ben Moss Jewellers within the mall at 10:01 p.m. Tuesday to find the sprinkler system within the store had already put the fire out.
Firefighters looked for hot spots and then ventilated smoke from the building.
The store is said to have sustained significant damage in the fire, along with damage from smoke and from the water that was used to put it out.
No injuries were reported.
