HALIFAX – Nova Scotia Power has a new, more interactive map that will allow customers to see more power outages around the province.
The map will show more information and will include even the smallest of outages.
“Our former used to show outages affecting only 100 customers or more so customers would call in to get their information on the phone lines rather than on the map,” said Maeghan Murphy with Nova Scotia Power. “So now we’ve taken it down to that individual level.”
Murphy said the map shades affected areas to give a better idea of the extent of the area suffering an outage.
The map is accessible not only on a computer, but is also compatible with phones and tablets.
Residents can also find their outage by zooming in to their location, searching by an address, bookmarking certain views and using location tracking.
