Waterfront Sea Bridge shuts down for winter

By Meghan Groff

The floating Sea Bridge along the Halifax waterfront has gone into hibernation.

Waterfront Development says winter weather will create unpredictable conditions, so they've closed it for the season, effective November 22nd.

“Over the coming week, our team will perform maintenance on the Sea Bridge and prepare if for removal from the site,” says a post on their website.

The 520-feet long floating dock will be reinstalled in the spring as soon as the weather allows.

They recommend using Lower Water Street to get around the Queen’s Marque construction.
