Suspect charged in incident where victim robbed while cashing a cheque

Halifax Regional Police have charged a man in relation to a weekend robbery.

The victim was asked by two men to cash a cheque for them Saturday night.

Police say after he agreed, the three went to an ATM where the man was assaulted and one of the suspects withdrew money from his account, he wasn't physically injured.

Officers arrested one suspect at 12:28 a.m. Monday on Wallace Street in Dartmouth.

Michael James Miles, 31, of Dartmouth has been charged with robbery, assault, breach of an undertaking and breach of probation.
