Snowfall warning issued for Halifax Sunday

By Meghan Groff

Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning Sunday for many parts of Nova Scotia, including Halifax.

In their 11 a.m. update, they said the snow should start falling early afternoon and be heavy at times throughout the day

Forecasters believe the Halifax area will get 10 to 20 centimetres before it tapers off overnight.

Poor driving conditions could be a factor with blowing snow over exposed areas and reduced visibility.

Snowfall warnings have also been issued along the Eastern Shore, parts of Colchester County, in Pictou and Antigonish counties and Cape Breton. In some areas, up to 30 centimetres of snow could fall.
