Nova Scotia Liberals say weed can be smoked on golf courses

The Nova Scotia Government decided during the spring sitting that driving your car and smoking pot has been deemed illegal as part of the updated smoke free act. Driving off the golf tee and smoking a joint; A-OK.
The Liberals expanded the Smoke-free Places Act, meaning a ban of smoking at baseball fields, tennis courts and parks.
Having marijuana on the greens will be allowed, just like tobacco.
Interim PC leader, Karla MacFarlane says this piece of legislation is confusing; she doesn't want cannabis to be under the same umbrella as booze and smokes.
“They're treating, as much as possible, cannabis to be just like tobacco” said MacFarlane. “Cannabis is not like tobacco, it's not like alcohol and should not at all be parallel or combined with those other pieces of legislation.”
MacFarlane adds that it's strange for cannabis to be legal at golf courses, but not in other public places.
“For some reason, those individuals must have had some amount of power over government at the time because golf courses are exempt” she said.
MacFarlane says she has no problem with weed being legal, but says the Liberal government is all over the place in terms of where it can and can't be smoked.
