Three men charged in Spryfield stabbing that injured three (Update)

HALIFAX – Three men face charges after three people were stabbed inside a Spryfield apartment early Sunday. 

Officers responded to the reported stabbing around 1:10 a.m. at an apartment in the 500 Block of Herring Cove Road, where a man and woman, both 33, were found with knife wounds.

Police said the pair were taken to hospital by EHS with non-life threatening injuries, while another man was later found at hospital with stab wounds believed to be connected to the incident. 

His injuries are also believed to be non life-threatening. 

Police say three people were arrested in connection with the incident on Sunday; a 19-year-old Williamswood man, a 20-year-old Halifax man and a 21-year-old man from Bedford all face charges. 

Each face two counts of aggravated assault and one count of break and enter. 

The man from Williamswood also faces an additional charge of possession of a weapon and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday. 

The other two will appear in court Monday.

Police said on Sunday the incident is not believed to be random in nature.
