One dead in Eastern Passage drive-by shooting

A 21-year-old man is dead after being shot by someone in a passing car in Eastern Passage.
Halifax District RCMP say the man was walking with a female along Hornes Road at around 12:45 a.m. Monday when the car stopped and the victim was shot.
He was rushed to hospital, but died of his injuries. Cpl. Dal Hutchinson said the female wasn't hurt.
Police do not believe the incident was random.
Hutchinson said it's still early in their investigation and they would like to hear from anybody who may have information about the shooting.
“Anyone who may have witnessed this incident that can assist our investigators in determining what type of vehicle was involved, which would assist in identifying potential suspects,” he said.
