UPDATE: Queensland Beach reopened to swimmers on July 18
The province has had to close Queensland Beach to swimmers.
On Friday, Nova Scotia Parks said it has had to shut down the popular beach in Hubbards due to high bacteria levels.
“It will remain closed to swimmers until water testing results show that the water is safe for swimming,” they said.
A tweet from the Department of Lands and Forestry says they expect the shut down to last at least a few days.
