Halifax Public Libraries is expanding their library kiosk program to Eastern Passage.
Starting Thursday, those in the area can pop into the Tallahassee Recreation Centre when it's open to borrow a book.
“We are excited that the launch of this kiosk gives us one more library touchpoint in the Halifax Regional Municipality, and one more way for people to read, learn, and connect,” said Halifax Public Libraries CEO Asa Kachan in a news release.
The self-serve book borrowing machine officially launches at 3:30 p.m. on Sept. 6 at the rec centre's open house.
The kiosks can be used by anyone who has a library card. Those who don't have one can sign up for one at the open house.
Earlier this year two kiosks were placed at Halifax Stanfield International Airport.
