Man arrested after liquor store robbery

Halifax Regional Police have arrested a suspect after a robbery at a grocery store Thursday afternoon.

They say when staff at the Herring Cove Rd. NSLC tried to stop a man from stealing at around 2:20 p.m., he pulled out a knife and threatened the employees before walking off.

Officers located the man shortly after and arrested him without incident.

The 52-year-old is facing robbery and weapons charges.

NOTE: This is a corrected story. Police originally said the robbery took place at the Sobeys grocery store.
