UPDATE: RCMP say a woman from Lower Sackville died in the crash between a small car and a dump truck

Highway 2 near Fall River has re-opened after a serious crash Thursday afternoon, though few details remain available.

The crash happened at Highway 2 and Holland Road in Fletchers Lake around 3:30 p.m. Thursday, though it's not clear how many vehicles were involved.

RCMP told News 95.7 on Friday morning that an update is expected later today.

The road was closed for several hours as police investigated but re-opened around 11 p.m. Thursday.
