Woman taken to hospital after Cobequid Rd. fire

Halifax Fire and Emergency crews are on the scene of a house fire on Cobequid Rd. near Windsor Junction Rd.
Halifax District RCMP said the call came in around 10:45 a.m.
The fire appears to have started in the back of the home and spread into an overhanging roof.
Crews were able to quickly extinguish the flames.
One woman was in the home at the time, but was able to escape on her own.
She has been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Fire investigators have been called in to determine the cause and the extent of the damage is not yet known.
