Another upcoming weekend, another special weather statement

For the third week in a row, Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement telling Nova Scotians to expect a lot of rain to start off the weekend.
It expects rain to start over the southern part of the province late Friday, spreading to Cape Breton by Saturday morning before tapering off Saturday night.
However, it's still not clear how much rain we will get.
“Current information suggests that generally 15 to 30 millimetres is likely; however some areas may receive 40 millimetres or more in areas of heaviest rain by Saturday evening,” the national forecaster said in their statement just after 10:30 a.m. Friday.
Those living in or travelling through higher terrain, like the Cobequid Pass or parts of the Cape Breton Highlands, could see snow Saturday morning before it warms up enough to change it over to rain.
Strong easterly winds are also expected Saturday along the Atlantic Coast and western Cape Breton where a Suetes wind warning is likely.
Strong westerlies are in the forecast for Sunday.
