Environment Canada issues Wednesday wind warning

It shouldn't come as much of a surprise to anyone who has ventured outside Wednesday that Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for most of Nova Scotia, including the Halifax area.
The national forecaster said to expect strong northwesterly wind gusts between 90 and 100 km/h over exposed areas.
“Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur,” the warning issued just before 11 a.m. said. “High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.”
It's also expected to be cold, with the temperature falling to minus 7 in the afternoon and a wind chill near minus 18.
The gusts are causing some issues with travel around the region, including cancelled flights.
The winds are expected to slowly drop below the warning criteria late Wednesday afternoon or evening.
