Dingle Beach reopens to swimmers (update)

Those looking to beat the heat can once again head to Sir Sandford Fleming Park.

Friday morning, Halifax Regional Municipality had said recent tests at Dingle Beach indicated bacteria levels had exceeded Health Canada guidelines, however further testing now shows the water is safe for swimming

The water quality at all supervised beaches in HRM, along with four unsupervised municipal beaches, is regularly tested in the summer months.

Residents can check the status of their favourite municipal beach online.
