BEDMINSTER, N.J. (AP) _ Gain Capital Holdings Inc. (GCAP) on Thursday reported net income of $14.3 million in its second quarter.
The Bedminster, New Jersey-based company said it had earnings of 37 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, came to 40 cents per share.
The provider of online trading services posted revenue of $101 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $101 million, which topped Street forecasts.
Gain Capital shares have climbed 55% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Thursday, shares hit $6.13, an increase of 29% in the last 12 months.
