Two men charged with murder, interference with remains in Nova Scotia death

YARMOUTH, N.S. — Two Nova Scotia men are facing charges of second-degree murder and interference with human remains in the death of a 26-year-old Yarmouth County man.
Colton James Cook was reported missing to police on Sept. 27.
His partial remains were found later that day near a burned vehicle, at the intersection of two rural roads about 20 kilometres northeast of Yarmouth.
Fifty-seven-year-old Robert Charles Rogers and 36-year-old Wayne Richard Crawford, both of Yarmouth County, were arrested Thursday in neighbouring Digby County.
Both are scheduled to appear in court later this month.
The investigation is being carried out by the RCMP’s Southwest Nova major crimes unit with the assistance of local detachments, and anyone with information on the incident is asked to come forward.
