RCMP look for suspect in multiple liquor store thefts

By Meghan Groff

RCMP believe the same woman may be responsible for thefts from multiple liquor stores in HRM.

The first happened at around 8 p.m. on March 21 at the NSLC on the Forest Hills Parkway.

Mounties say a woman put a number of liquor bottles into a large black bag, then left without paying.

Then just before 7 p.m. on May 18, police were told a woman stole around $600 worth of liquor from the NSLC on Sackville Dr. in Lower Sackville.

A bystander confronted the woman and returned the items to the store.

Last Friday at around 2:15 p.m., RCMP were called back to the same Lower Sackville store.

They were told a woman stole 11 bottles of liquor. She left the area as a passenger in a red sedan with steel wheels, driven by someone else.

Last Sunday after 3:30 p.m., Mounties were called to the NSLC on Hwy. 2 in Fall River after a woman took eight bottles of liquor valued at over $650. She left the area in a vehicle.
