Nova Scotia Health eases masking requirements Monday

Nova Scotia Health (NSH) is changing its rules around COVID-19 era masking.

Effective today (Monday, July 17) the masking guidelines are somewhat relaxing at most NSH facilities.

The authority says masking will still be required for inpatient areas, emergency departments and some outpatient areas providing service to high-risk patients who are at risk of severe outcomes from COVID-19 infection.

Health care providers will continue to mask if a patient shows up in a mask, or if a patient requests a mask be worn.
