On July 8 at roughly 2:45 a.m., police responded to a report of an assault in the area of Sackville and Market Streets where an altercation took place between two groups of people who were not known to each other.

Police say a man from one group cut a man from the other group with a knife and then fled the area on foot.

Emergency Health Services (EHS) treated the victim at the scene.

The suspect is described as a white man in his thirties, approximately 5’10” tall, medium build, brown/blonde hair with a receding hairline, full beard, wearing a black and gold floral shirt and gray shorts.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
