Storm knocks out power to thousands in HRM

Thousands of residents in HRM woke up on Monday morning to a significant snowfall and without electricity.
Nova Scotia Power’s outage map shows over 17,000 outages across the province, with over 10,000 in the Halifax reporting area.
On their site, the utility blames high winds and heavy snow for the outages and lists estimated restoration times from 11:00 a.m. through 1:00 p.m.
