Sea Dogs edge out Mooseheads 3-2

The Halifax Mooseheads came up short against Saint John on Saturday night, falling 3-2 to the Sea Dogs.

After a scoreless first period, Mathieu Cataford put the Herd on the board but Peter Reynolds quickly answered back to keep things tied up at 1-1 late in the second period.

Liam Kilfoil restored the Mooseheads’ lead in the third period but Danny Akkouche tied things back up at 2-2.

After a close contest, it was Noah Reinhart who netted the game winner for the Sea Dogs as the Mooseheads fell 3-2.

The Mooseheads are back in the Scotiabank Centre on Wednesday when they welcome the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.
