The HRM area and most of Nova Scotia are under a series of weather warnings as another winter storm approaches Saturday.
Environment Canada has issued a rainfall, wind and storm surge warning for the region for a system that will move into the area Saturday afternoon.
The national forecaster says the storm could bring a brief period of snow or ice pellets before it changes to rain and into early Sunday morning. 25 mm or more is expected to fall through the day.
The wind will also be a concern with this storm, with gusts in the 90 km/h range possible. Those powerful winds will kick up the surf, with the possibility of 4-6 m waves. With higher-than-normal water levels, there is the potential for some localized flooding, particularly during high tide.
