RCMP charge Lower Sackville man with drugs, weapons offences

A man has been charged with drug and weapons offences in Lower Sackville.

On Wednesday morning, officers executed a search warrant at a home on Tache Street and a vehicle in a parking lot on Dispensing Way, in connection to an investigation that began back in November.

Police say they arrested a 50-year-old Lower Sackville man outside the home and during the arrest, they seized 10 grams of cocaine and 20 hydromorphone pills.

Officers found more cocaine inside the man’s vehicle.

Terry Michel Danny Cousineau is facing a number of charges including:

  • Possession of a controlled substance (cocaine and hydromorphone) for the purpose of trafficking (two counts)
  • Possession of property obtained by crime
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Careless use of a firearm (eight counts)
  • Careless storage of a firearm (eight counts)
  • Transfer of a firearm without authority (two counts)
  • Failure to report losing a firearm (two count)

Cousineau was scheduled to return to court on Friday.
