Celebrating the life of broadcasting legend Rick Howe

Friends, family and some of his faithful listeners will gather in downtown Halifax on Saturday to remember the life of the late Rick Howe.
Howe was a broadcasting legend in the Maritimes, spending almost 50 years working in both New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, ending his career at CityNews 95.7 in 2021.
Howe was also the author of three books, including his last, Eyewitness: Atlantic Canadians Experience History In Their Own Words, published last fall.
A celebration of life will be held tomorrow at the Lord Nelson Hotel on South Park Street from 1 until 4 p.m., and in accordance with Rick’s wishes, it will be open to the public so that his listeners can attend.
Rick Howe passed away in January at the age of 69.
