The Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame will be making significant upgrades to its facility with the help of a $2.5 million investment from the province.
According to Nova Scotia, the upgraded facility will be fully accessible with an elevator and upgraded washrooms. There are also plans to install a new HVAC system and to make other mechanical and electrical improvements that will allow for the preservation of the facility’s collection.
“We will now be able to tell these stories with more detail and depth than ever before,” Bruce Rainnie, President and CEO, Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame, said. “And we will make sure they are told especially to Nova Scotia youth, as examples of what can be accomplished through dedication and a healthy dose of humility.”
The province said the facility will be closed while these renovations take place.
