Heat warnings from Environment Canada continue for a second week

Heat warnings remain as Nova Scotians dig in for another week of hot, humid weather.

Environment Canada says today’s high temperature will reach 30 degrees, but with the humidity factored in, it will feel more like 35.

The national forecaster says we can expect to see temperatures in the low 30s through Wednesday afternoon before a front moves through, bringing some relief in the form of cooler temperatures and the potential of some rain.

Officials are urging residents to drink lots of water, limit exposure to the sun, schedule outdoor activities to during the coolest parts of the day and never leave people or pets locked in cars.
