Woman suffers life-threatening injuries after being struck by vehicle

Regional police says a woman is fighting for her life after being hit by a driver in Clayton Park on Thursday night.

According to police, the 36-year-old was crossing Lacewood Drive in a marked crosswalk around 8:30 p.m. when she was hit.

She was taken to hospital with injuries police described as life-threatening.

HRP says the driver has been ticketed for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk, which carries a fine of $697.50.
