Single vehicle crash in Pictou County claims life of Blue Mountain man

The RCMP in Pictou County are investigating a fatal crash that occurred in Thorburn.
According to the Mounties, around 6:30 a.m. on Sept. 21, emergency crews responded to a report of a vehicle crash in the 9000 block on Sherbrooke Rd.
Upon arrival at the scene, RCMP officers learned that a blue Honda Civic was travelling on Sherbrooke Rd. when it left the road and went into a ditch.
The driver and sole occupant of the Honda, a 19-year-old Blue Mountain man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A collision reconstructionist attended the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing, and is being assisted by the Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service.
