Police search for suspect in Fairview robberies

Halifax Regional Police is looking for a man believed to be involved in two robberies in the city on Monday evening.
Officers responded to the first robbery at a KFC on Titus Street at around 9:50 p.m.
The suspect reportedly entered the restaurant with a knife and ordered the employee to open the till.
Police say the suspect fled empty handed and the employee was not injured.
The second robbery happened a few minutes later at Nayya Pizza on Dutch Village Road. Just like the first incident, police say the suspect approached an employee and tried to take money from the till. That employee also escaped injury.
The suspect in both cases is described as a white man about 5’7″, 30 to 40 years old and is approximately 170 pounds. At the time of the incidents, he was reported to have been wearing a brown jacket, blue jeans, a black beanie and sunglasses.
