Halifax Regional Police say two people will be in court at a later date after an incident on the peninsula over the weekend.
According to police, at about 3:30 a.m. on Saturday officers attempted to stop a vehicle with an expired licence plate in the area of Allan Street and Monastery Lane, near Quinpool Road.
Police say the driver didn’t stop and drove through the nearby Flynn Park to flee from the officers.
The driver eventually hit a curb and a stop sign, and the two suspects ran off on foot before being arrested.
Police say a 32-year-old man will be in court at a later date facing charges of flight from a peace officers, dangerous operation and refusal to comply with a demand for testing.
A 40-year-old woman is also facing charges including failing to comply with a probation order. She too will appear in court at a later date, police say.
