Man wanted for homicides in Colchester County arrested in New Brunswick
A man wanted on a Canada-wide arrest warrant in connection to two homicides in Colchester County has been arrested in New Brunswick.
On the evening of Dec. 19, Truro Police Service received information that a 27-year-old Truro man and a 25-year-old Pictou Landing First Nation man were taken to hospital with serious stab wounds.
Then on Dec. 21, shortly before noon, Mounties responded to a report of a man in medical distress at a home in Upper Onslow. Police said the 25-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Finally, on Dec. 22, emergency crews responded to a man in medical distress at a home on Lavinia Drive in Truro where a 27-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Nova Scotia Medical Examiner Service ruled both those deaths as homicides which prompted a Canada-wide arrest warrant for 35-year-old Ronald Albert Canuel, of Bathurst.
On Wednesday evening, Mounties issued an update, saying Canuel was found and safely arrested in New Brunswick.
