Regional police have released the name of the person charged in connection with an incident in downtown Halifax yesterday that saw a 6-year-old stabbed multiple times.
Elliott Chorny, 19, will appear in court later this morning on charges of attempted murder and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace.
According to a Monday morning update, the 6-year-old remains in hospital after being rushed from the scene in the 1900 block of Barrington Street around 1:20 yesterday afternoon.
Police say the child was taken to the IWK for treatment of life-threatening injuries.
